How do I add my first knowledge source?
Navigate to Sources in your dashboard, click 'Add Source', and choose from URL, PDF, Google Drive, OneDrive, or manual entry. Your content will be automatically chunked and embedded.

Comxbot uses recovery loops: it will try rephrasing retrieval, ask clarifying questions, offer forms, or escalate to a human via the handoff inbox. You can configure the escalation rules.

Actions follow a propose, dry-run, approve, execute flow. The assistant proposes an action, optionally runs a dry-run, then requires human approval before executing. You can also set auto-approve for low-risk actions.

Source health is a composite score measuring freshness (how recently content was updated), citation rate (how often the source is cited), and retrieval score (how well chunks match queries). Unhealthy sources are automatically deprioritised.

Comxbot monitors conversations for safeguarding indicators including self-harm, abuse, exploitation and distress signals. When detected, the assistant immediately provides support information and escalates to the designated safeguarding lead. All flagged conversations are logged in the safeguarding dashboard.

Yes. Every assistant can read answers aloud and accept spoken input. The built-in browser voice is free and on by default. For a natural, studio-quality voice you bring your own key from ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Azure, Google or PlayHT, set a different voice per assistant or per language, and a daily spend cap keeps costs under control.

Yes. You can embed any assistant on a Microsoft 365 SharePoint page, an intranet, staff hub or student portal, either as a floating chat bubble or full-width inside the page. There's one thing to do first: a SharePoint admin has to allow the comxbot domain (or enable custom script) for that site, since SharePoint blocks embeds by default. After that it's copy-and-paste and you're live in minutes.

Yes. Every self-serve plan can be billed monthly or yearly, and yearly works out at two months free (about 17% off), charged annually in advance. Just choose Yearly on the billing page when you subscribe. The custom Education & Training tier is sold annually by invoice or purchase order.
Read moreDo you mark up the AI usage or charge per message?
No. The plan fee covers the platform only. You bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key and pay the provider their cost directly, or use a comxbot-managed key on pre-paid credit at cost. There's no comxbot mark-up on AI and no per-message or per-resolution fee, unlike tools that bundle the AI and add a margin or charge around a dollar per conversation.
