Custom domain

Serve the chat and pages from your own web address so they look like part of your site.

What a custom domain does

By default your assistant lives on a comxbot web address. A custom domain lets you use your own instead, like chat.yourbusiness.co.uk, so everything looks like a natural part of your brand.

It's a nice touch for trust. Customers and students see your name in the address bar rather than a third party's, which feels more official.

Setting it up

Go to Settings, then Custom domain, and enter the address you'd like to use, usually a subdomain like chat or help. comxbot gives you a DNS record to add at whoever manages your domain, like GoDaddy, Cloudflare or your web host.

Once the record is in place, comxbot verifies it and sorts out the secure certificate automatically. After that, your chosen address is live. DNS changes can take a little while to take effect, so don't worry if it isn't instant.
