Capturing leads and handing off to a person
Turn chats into leads and escalate to your team, with everything landing in one inbox.
Capturing leads
A lead is a visitor who's shown interest and left their details. There are two ways comxbot captures one. The assistant can ask for a name and a way to get in touch during the chat, or the visitor can use the 'Leave a message' form in the widget.
Either way, the lead lands in your inbox, you get an email, and it can fire a webhook into your CRM. So nobody slips through, even out of hours. The form also records which page the visitor came from, which is useful for working out what's driving enquiries.
Repeat submissions from the same person within 24 hours fold into the existing lead rather than cluttering your inbox, and a quiet spam check keeps bot submissions out.
Talk to a human
Sometimes a visitor just wants a person. They can tap 'Talk to a human' in the widget, or the assistant will offer it when it can't help. Either way the conversation becomes a handoff in your inbox.
Your team gets the full chat history, a short summary and a suggested next step, so the customer or student never has to repeat themselves. You're notified by email too, and it fires a webhook if you've set one up.
Working the inbox
Leads and handoffs sit side by side in your inbox, each clearly tagged. You can search by name, email, phone or message, and filter by status, type and priority, so the urgent ones float to the top.
Open a thread to see the contact details and the full conversation. From there you can reply, assign it to a teammate, leave an internal note, snooze it for later or close it. You can also export all your leads to a CSV for your spreadsheet or CRM.
